where in the world are you? #4

A new meme started HERE at Musings of a Book Lover!  Take the current book you are reading, and tell us "Where in the World Are You?"  What setting or place in the world is your book set... or where in the Universe, since some of us enjoy a good fantasy or sci-fi.  The beauty of reading is to take us to new and exciting places.  Or places that don't exist but in our minds.  Take us there now!

Where I Was:
I was in Austin Texas with a fabulous book, Austentatious.  I cannot wait until I have a chance to go back to Austin to visit some of the places I didn't see the first few times I was there.  Alyssa Goodnight mentioned so many other places I cannot wait to see.

I was also on a roadtrip from Michigan to San Francisco, in the so-so book of Saving Jane.  I wish that the author had actually been on that roadtrip herself, then she would have known a little bit more about San Fran, for instance (you do NOT need air conditioning in June in San Fran)

Where I Am:
Derbyshire, England with Mr. Darcy, who is trying to figure out how he failed with Elizabeth Bennet in Fitzwilliam Ebenezer Darcy - a mash-up of A Christmas Carol and Pride and Prejudice.

Where are you in your reading worlds?

Where in the World Are You... 2

I was in London during the Regency and the high Season with Georgiana Darcy, along with Elizabeth and Darcy newly married.  Wouldn't it be nice to whirl around a ballroom (though Elizabeth thought that rather scandulous)?  I think one place I really would have liked to visit on a warm summer's eve would have been with Covent Gardens or Vauxhall.  Mr. Darcy's Little Sister by C. Allyn Pierson

Where I am Stuck:
On a road trip from Michigan to California trying to Save June, but more like Harper Scott trying to figure out what her life will be like now that her sister is gone.  This one is going a little more slowly and I think I have been 'reading it' form almost a month now.  Saving June by Hannah Harrington

Where I Am:
In the best city in Texas! Austin, Texas, where the inhabitants and visitors alike love grabbing a 'Keep Austin Weird' t-shirt, because Austin is so not Texas!  It's a Blue dot in a sea of red!  Nicola James just grabbed a journal, but she's finding out that there is something different with this one!  Austentatious by Alyssa Goodnight

Feel Free to let us know Where You are in the World!  Think about creating a map on Google Maps to show the location of where you have been!  Check mine out... I have even colour-coordinated the flags based on the number of stars I have given the book.  One day, when I have time (hee-hee) I plan on adding covers to all of the books!

I look forward to seeing where you are traveling!  One thing I love about reading... getting to see new places!

Where in the World Are You? #2

Well, I am crossing the desert in Northern Africa, in The Alchemist in hopes of finding a Personal Legend... a treasure buried under the Pyramids... but wondering if the treasure was the girl left at the oasis.

I am also in a small town in a small town in the Northwest, and I just went to the local fair with Tilly in The One That I Want.  Tilly loves being a high school counselor and planning prom every year!  Who wouldn't want to be a part of prom every year, Tilly wonders.  Though, I think that things are going to change for Tilly, since she bumped into an old friend in the Psychic tent....

Where are you in the world?  Share where you are in your stories.  That's what is so wonderful about reading, you can be in so many places, and never leave the comfort of your home.

Where in the World Are You? #1

This week, I am in Ireland.  I started off in Dublin, but now I am in out in the countryside.  I am living in a gate house of some old castle grounds.  I'm still confused as to where exactly I am, but I know it's about 30 minutes to the nearest 'big town' and a few hours away from Dublin.
There is some kind of mystery going on here and I am still not sure what it is.  The castle is in ruins, and it's my favorite place to go and hide away... to read my diary.  There is a secret walled garden there where I have met the most peculiar nun who loves to paint and she keeps bees.  I gave her a romance novel as a joke, but she loved it!
There is a bungalow across the road from the gatehouse where I am staying with my mum, her brother and his wife.  My aunt is a bit weird.... she freaks me out a bit.  But the bungalow holds some more secrets, as does the garage.  I have to figure out how to break the lock there!
One thing about this area is how old the buildings are.  Not like many parts of Dublin.  The walls around here have stood for quite some time.

The description above is based on The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern.  I hope that many things will be wrapped up!

Let me know where you 'are'!
