b is for...

What happy little balls of helium these little beauties are!

We started early with our girls. Birthdays are special, and we always celebrate with a ton of balloons first thing in the morning.  It became tradition that we were not allowed out of bed until the rest of the family woke you up.  If you got out of bed early, you would ruin the decorating fun that was going on outside of your room, and possibly throughout the rest of the house.

Also want to do the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque.  I hope we can make it this October!

  1. Kate, glad you are doing the A to Z challenge again this year! I love balloons too - especially the large hot air ones. I saw a "lift off" in Steamboat Springs one year - so, so exciting to see the different balloons (from Tweety Bird to gorgeously colored round ones) go from flat, shapeless forms to beautifully inflated wonders. I too havent been to the Albuquerque one but have always wanted to go. Maybe this year?! Keep up the good work!

  2. That is so sweet. When my oldest was in the NICU for 117 days (17 weeks), we got him a new helium mylar balloon every week to celebrate another week of survival. By the time we left, at last, it looked like his crib was going to float away. Nowadays they don't allow balloons in the NICU any more...

Thanks for taking the time to post a comment. If you leave a link to yours, I would love to visit... but it may take a few days before I comment or explore!

Sorry about the word verification - I hate them, too - but I hate vulgar spam more!

Have a Fabuloso Day!
