z is for... Zapatos and Flying Zapatos

Thanksgiving Weekend 2010, Loch Ness

Zapatos - or shoes - have been a fascination of ours... well - taking pictures of them at all of the cool spots we have been.

On my way up to the top of Mt. Vesuvius

It started with my dad.  Several years ago I was looking at some of his photos from a trip, and there were his feet with a cool bay in the background.  He said he always takes a 'foot shot' wherever he's been, so he knows that he was there!

Zapato-less - the Alabaster Mosque, Cairo
Needless to say, we, as a family, have adopted this philosophy...

and for the Flying Zapatos....

Over the Tuileries Garden, Paris

...and this completes my A to Z Challenge.... YAY!  I did it!

thanks for going along with my crazy posts

  1. haha I love this! Funny thing is, I've actually been thinking of doing this myself. I love when families/friends have a 'thing' - like an inside joke or something special they do that they all 'get'. Congrats on finishing the challenge, I'm so proud of you, and I've thoroughly enjoyed your posts! :-)

  2. Nice Z. I remember zapatos from Spanish class. We've taken a few zapatos pictures ourselves.

    Yes, we did do it!

  4. I've been living in Asia for a few months now and this is a common hobby for many young people here. Thanks for sharing your 'zapatos' photos.

Thanks for taking the time to post a comment. If you leave a link to yours, I would love to visit... but it may take a few days before I comment or explore!

Sorry about the word verification - I hate them, too - but I hate vulgar spam more!

Have a Fabuloso Day!
