This week's question is:
Q: What's the craziest thing you've ever done to get your hands on any particular book?
A: Craziest? I've stalked an author at every blog giveaway, on Facebook and posted a Countdown Widget (it's still there, by the way) and was VERY excited to get an advanced copy! It was well-worth the stalking! Austentatious by Alyssa Goodnight is a must read for anyone who loves a quirky character, Austin Texas, and Jane Austen... oh, and a hunky Scotsman.
Then there was living in England, and luckily having an American address, so I could get 'The Orchid Affair' by Lauren Willig when it was first released. It wasn't so much as the crazy thing I did to get the book, but the crazy things I did with the book once I got it. Lauren Willig had a contest to see who could photograph the book in various locations first. Since we were heading to London for our Anniversary day trip, I forced my family to run around London with me to take pictures of the book with various locales in London (Whitehall, Trafalgar Square, The Texas Embassy, to name a few). Luckily, I was the first to send in photos of her book in London!
